Former Nigerian football great Austin Jay Jay Okocha has advised fellow Chelsea's countryman John Obi Mikel to seek new challenge after falling out favour to Antonio Conte.
Okocha noted that it was in the interest of the player to search for a new Caleb where he can get enough playing time.
Mikel has failed to make a single appearance under new manager Antonio Conte throughout the season.
In an interview with Footballghana, Okocha said "In my personal view I think he must seek a new challenge elsehwere so he can enjoy his football".
"What he is going through at the moment is the worse thing that could happen to a player and I urge him to move on," he added.
When asked if Mikel's recent predicament can affect the national team, the former Eintracht Frankfurt and Bolton Wanderers star disagreed stating that the country needs his experience to help build the upcoming ones.
