AFCON 2017: Gabon skipper Aubameyang strikes from the spot to earn 1-1 draw with Burkina Faso

Borussia Dortmund's forward Pierre Emerick Aubameyang strike from the spot kick to earn hosts Gabon a vital 1-1 draw with Burkina Faso in their second AFCON game.

Aubameyang scored the penalty on the 38th minute of the game after substitute P. Nakoulma goal in the 23rd minute had given the Burkinabes the lead.

The first half ended in a stalemate despite Gabon dominating most part of the game.

After the recess saw the Burkinabes coming into the game as they search for the winner but the Gabonese defence managed to hold them down.

Aubameyang, skipper of the Gabonese side led his team with experience and rose into the game in the final 20 minutes as they look to win to appease the home fans.

Gabon and Burkina Faso currently hold two points each from their two games and the former will play their final game against giants Cameroun.
