Ghana's New York Red Bull defender Gideon Baah has called on the public not to judge the Black Stars on their abysmal performances in the World Cup qualifier ahead of the AFCON in Gabon.

Baah stressed that the Stars can pull surprises anytime at the tournament when it begins.

The Stars have endured a poor start to their World Cup qualifying campaign after drawing against Uganda at home and losing 0-2 to Egypt in Cairo.

The Stars must step up their game if they are to stand a chance of winning this year's edition of the AFCON with other African giants keen on the trophy as well.

"We shouldn't judge the Black Stars base on their performance in the World Cup qualifier because they can pull surprises anytime," Baah said in an interview with Starr FM.
