Former Black Stars defender, Willie Klutse has questioned the competence of Black Stars Coach Avram Grant.

The 61-year-old Israeli trainer has come under immense pressure from all quarters of football enthusiasts after the Black Stars’ failure to record a win in their last four games.

And the latest man to attack the wily coach is the technical director Willie Klutse, who was part of the victorious Black Stars team that conquered Africa in 1978 on home soil feels that since the appointment of Avram Grant, the team has not improved but rather retrogressed, and did not venture in the tangle of blaming the sports ministry for the recent shortcomings of the team.

Speaking on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports, Willie Klutse said, “So far I’ve not seen anything convincing about the man.”

He continued, “I feel it’s time the Football Association review his performance. They should tell him their peace of mind for his frequent travelling in the name of scouting players. What are criteria he uses in selecting players into the team who even when they come do not help the improvement.”

“Some are attributing the poor performance of the team to the sports ministry for bonus slashing from 10,000 $ to 8,000 $, but do we want say that for 34 years, our failure to win the AFCON has been the fault of the sports ministry,” Willie Klutse quizzed.

The Black Stars will play against the Pharaohs of Egypt in Alexandria next month in the second game of Group E qualifiers to the Russia 2018 World Cup.
