Top Kenyan Sports Journalist Collins Okinyo has named his son after Ghana midfielder Michael Essien.
Okinyo who is reported to be a big fan of the former Chelsea player named his son Prince John Essien.
“Michael Essien is my favourite African footballer of all time and the decision to name my son after him is because of my admiration for his immense qualities,” herosportsgh reported.
Michael Essien won the UEFA Champions League in 2012 and also featured for the Black Stars in their maiden FIFA World Cup in 2006.
