Hearts of Oak in the dark over purported signings

Spokesman for Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo says his outfit is clueless about the number of players announced to have joined the club.

Reports become rife in the media that Accra Hearts of Oak have secured the services of Ivorian defender, Ousmane Doumbia from Asec Mimosas, Liberty Professionals duo Anthony Nimo and Daniel Kodie and Joshua Otoo from league champions Wa All stars for the forthcoming premier league season.

Nevertheless, communication director of the club Opare Addo has declared that he and other members of the club are awed at the reports making round, but said only one player has been acquired by the club.

“I can confidently confirm that we have signed only player, and that’s Henry Lamptey from Danbort FC, but we’re in the process of finalizing deals for our other targets within the shortest time,” Opare said.

“When we make any addition to the side, I’ll inform the public.”

Henry Jay Lamptey’s emerged as the top scorer for the Nungua based team with 14 goals in his first and only season in the GN Division One League and he’s expected to fire the Phobians to the title when the Ghana Premier League gets underway on December 18th.
