Avram Grant calls on Ghanaians to save their football

Head Coach of the Black Stars Avram Grant has called on Ghanaians to help their football grow by properly reacting to off the field issues.

Avram Grant who has failed to pick a win in his last four outings with the Black Stars, believes Ghana football can get better if things are properly handled off the pitch.

The team has struggled in recent times financially following the minister’s refusal to fly down players to honour their Afcon 2017 final qualifying match against Rwanda.

Asked how he is coping with the difficulties of coaching Ghana; Grant claimed he is not happy but upbeat of his team's chances at the Afcon 2017.

“There is a lot of passion in Ghana and I must say if things off the pitch will be handled well like in Europe, I think football in Africa especially in Ghana will be better.”

“I’m not happy the players had to buy their own tickets for a game and it’s a challenge.” He said on Sky Sports.

Avram Grant is expected to lead the Black Stars to Egypt on November 13 for their second 2018 world cup qualifier in group E.
