Former West Ham and Fulham striker, Leroy Rosenior has touted the Black Stars of Ghana to annex the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations title.

The 52-year-old, who now works as a pundit and coach, reiterated his belief that the Black Stars are well equipped to end their 35-year trophy drought in Gabon.

The one-capped Sierra Leone international, who will be working for Eurosport as a pundit in the continent’s football festival has earmarked the 2015 losing finalists as his favourite country to win the trophy out of the other 15 Nations that will be participating.

“My favourites (Ghana), though Ayew’s fitness is key,” he said.

Ghana last won the competition in 1982 when they defeated host Libya on penalties to clinch their fourth title.
