Premier League club, WAFA, attacker , Komlan Agbeniadan, made his African Cup Nations (AFCON) debut for Togo in their opening group game against The Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire. The Togolese goal poacher came on as a late replacement for Matheu Dossevi in their match against the Ivorians in the ongoing tournament. Agbeniadan , after his impressive performance in the Premier League with WAFA was tipped to play a vital role for the Sparrow Hawks of Togo at the continental competition. He replaced Dossevi with three minutes to end an entertaining and tough game. Togo held the defending champions in a 0-0 stalemate in the opening group C clash.
