PREVIEW: Ghana Premier League braced for week two action

Published on: 17 February 2017

The Ghana Premier League enters match week two this weekend with some eye-catching fixtures.

Match Day one produced twelve goals with Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs being the high-scoring team as they put three past new entrant, Bolga All Stars at the new Cape Coast Stadium.

The Cape Coasters will look to continue with their fine start to the season as they travel to the Volta Region to play a WAFA side who are difficult to breakdown at the Sogakofe Park. The Academy Boys will hope to put some smiles on the faces of their supporters this time around after losing narrowly to Medeama SC last weekend in Tarkwa.

Last season's runner-up, Aduana Stars will make a long journey to Elimina to rub shoulders with debutants, Elmina Sharks in fiesty encounter at the Nduom Sports Stadium.

After an unimpressive display on the opening weekend against Liberty Professionals at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Asante Kotoko will be hoping to improve upon their performance when they battle it out with Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park in Berekum.

In other premier league ties, Liberty Professionals will be yearning to have coach Sellas Tetteh on the bench this weekend after the latter was absent from their match day one defeat against Kotoko due to the wife's demise when they take on Inter Allies at the Alhaji Sly Tetteh Park in Dansoman while Tema Youth face a tricky trip to Bechem United.

Elsewhere, Ashanti Gold will be hoping to bounce from last weekend's 1-0 defeat against Aduana Stars as they host returnee, Great Olympics at the Lenclay Stadium in Obuasi.

Bolga All Stars vs Wa All Stars Ghana Premier League game have been postponed due to the latter participation in continental assignment.
